Welcome to Meister Music. My name is Diana Meister, I live and teach piano in the Walnut Grove area of Langley, BC. I am a mom of 3 and teach piano from my home, I have a dedicated music space that I teach lessons.

I have been involved with teaching & music my whole life. I originally started out as a school teacher and school music teacher. Now I teach strictly piano from my home. I have completed my Grade 10 RCM Piano Cerificate along with my History , Harmony and Pedagogy.

I have a large variety of students from beginners to advanced, starting at Age 5 up to High School Students. Adults are welcome as well as home schooled students.

Lessons run September to June along with the school year. My holidays run along with the school year as well which include Christmas Holidays, Spring Break and any long weekends. You are able to purchase all piano books needed for lessons through myself.

There are a number of things we do throughout the year to keep learning fun:

3 Concerts - typically in November, April & June.
Piano Olympics.
Note quizes.
Mini concerts among the kids.
Monthly prizes if all requirements are met.

Availability

We are all so busy and are juggling various activities but I do my best to create time in my schedule that works for you and your family.

Current opening on Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm

Policy & Expectations

There is an annual $35 registration fee per child with a maximum of $70 per family. Registration is due June 15.
Lessons are payable by monthly post-dated cheques dated for the 1st of each month from September to June. Every month is the same monthly rate no matter of the number of weeks.
Post-dated cheques/payments will be deposited on the 1st of the month, and will be subject to late fees if required.
If you must stop lessons during the year, 30 days notice is required. No lessons can be stopped after March 31st of the Lesson Year (Lesson Year is September to June).
We will reschedule any lessons missed for a legitimate reason such as illness. I do require 24 hours notice for canceled lessons. Otherwise, the lesson is forfeited.
Any lessons that I require to reschedule will be subject to the same 24 hours notice.
Consistency is the key to learning how to play piano. Please support the fulfillment of your child's responsibilities at home!
Provide a practice environment that is free from interruptions (family, friends, TV, computer or phone).
Lessons are cancelled on Piano Party and Recital days.
I will not be teaching statutory holidays.
There will be no lessons during the School Calendar Christmas holidays (2 weeks). There are only 1 week of lessons during the 2 weeks of Spring Break.
